Research Interests

“Smart and scalable nanopatterning”

  • roll-to-roll nanoimprinting, seamless and free-surface nanoinscribing, mold-free and period-tunable vibrational nanopatterning, large-area inkjetting-based nanoimprinting.

“Multiscale hybrid nanoarchitecturing”

  • carbon nanotubes, graphene, transition metal dichalcogenides, nanowires (Ag, ZnO, VOx, etc.), and their functional multiscale hybrid nanoarchitectures.3

“Solution-processable nanomanufacturing”

  • hydrothermal nanostructure growth, carbon nanotube solution thin films, nanoporous metallic films, printing and imprinting of functional nanomaterials.

“Focused applications”

  • Flexible, attachable, and transparent electronics and photonics; nanomechanical devices including heaters and shock absorbers; smart sensors; near-perfect light absorbers; energy harvesters, etc..
